+1 for red dwarf here although father Ted is a close second

It's a very close run thing between Father Ted, Red Dwarf, Blackadder and Only Fools And Horses for me, but if you forced me to choose just one that I would be allowed to watch only that, to the exclusion of all others, it'd be Blackadder.
Having said all that, I'd rather watch sketch shows like The Mary Whitehouse Experience, Big Train or The Fast Show

Curb Your Enthusiasm is the funniest thing on TV at the moment, possibly ever.

I do have a real soft spot for OFAH though. It seems like it's always been there and some of those moments feel like part of all our lives.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is amazing, at first I was a bit wary of giving it a try as I didn't like Seinfeld but I'm glad I did.

Although the 'situation' was a bit thin (Sally temporarily becoming christian, Dave Charley's money/woman problems), they more than made up for it with the topical jokes that ripped the micky out of the politicians of the day, such as The Anagram Game...

Fawlty Towers, Last of The Summer Wine (especially the "Foggy" episodes), Only Fools, On The Buses, Open All Hours, Porridge, Steptoe & Son, The Good Life.
Although "Love Thy Neighbour" was banned; at the time it was originally broadcast, I was living with a Caribbean lady and her family, and far from being offended, they were laughing their socks off.
Isn't it strange how officialdom seems to think it knows what is appropriate and what is not? Rather like local councils banning Christmas to avoid offending Muslims who, if you ask them, actually enjoy the atmosphere of it and the festivity.
