Liverpool/Wigan/Manchester-Bristol?

Hi im Travelling on Friday after 4pm from the Northwest to Bristol and can travel from either L'pool,Manc or Wigan can anyone give me ways of getting a cheaper fare I would be returning on the sunday and can travel back at any time. where are good split points etc? There are two of us travelling one with a rail card and one without.

A quick look travelling from Liverpool Lime Street and I see little merit in the usual splits as this is a period return. Splits are best on this route when it is a day return that is required. The Off Peak Return from Liverpool to Bristol is £67.70 (£44.70 Railcard) and will be valid at the times required.

If you're over 55, a good way at the moment is to use the Arriva Trains Wales Club 55 and go via Newport (even with the Newport-Bristol add on it will be less than £30). More scenic ride and generally quieter except when it's a school run in the borders area.
