What's happenning?! On the 0817 delayed Birmingham International - New St and the guard said the TV line is closed? Great, only on the day I decide to do the great escape! :(

Is this why I saw what I believe to be 399054 pass international nonstop at 0817?

On the bright side, your Great Escape ticket is today now valid on Virgin as well !

The following text is on the nationalrail web site:-

Vandalism is causing disruption in the Nuneaton area.

Because of this, trains between Rugby and Nuneaton may be delayed by up to 45 minutes. These delays are expected to continue until approximately 09:30.

The following alterations will also apply:

Virgin Trains

* Trains will be diverted between Rugby and Stafford via Birmingham New Street.
* A reduced service will run between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly (trains at 20 minutes past each hour from London, and at 15 minutes past each hour from Manchester will not run).
* A reduced service will run between London Euston and Birmingham New Street (trains at 03 minutes past each hour from London, and at 50 minutes past each hour from Birmingham will not run).
* A reduced service will run between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street (trains at 07 minutes past each hour from London, and at 48 minutes past each hour from Liverpool will not run).
* Other trains will make additional stops at Milton Keynes Central to replace the cancelled Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool services.
* Trains to/from Holyhead will run between Holyhead and Crewe. Customers should use alternative Virgin Trains services between Crewe and London Euston.

London Midland

* Customers at Nuneaton should travel to Coventry or Birmingham New Street for alternative trains towards Rugby / Northampton / London Euston.
* Customers at Crewe, Stafford, Rugeley, Lichfield or Tamworth travelling towards London may also travel via Birmingham New Street for alternative connections.

Ticket Acceptance

* London Midland and Virgin Trains will accept each others tickets between Stoke-on-Trent / Stafford / Coventry and London Euston.
* CrossCountry will accept London Midland customers between Nuneaton / Tamworth and Birmingham New Street

I'll see if I can get a Virgin on my way back from London!

Any idea how long it'll last?

When did this cable theft disruption start? I got the 06:17 VT from Nuneaton this morning and we arrived into Euston at 07:30 without any problems. Even FGW were on time into Reading for a change.

Location
Considering a move to Memphis
* A reduced service will run between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street (trains at 07 minutes past each hour from London, and at 48 minutes past each hour from Liverpool will not run).

But there only is one train per hour between Liverpool and Euston anyway ! A typical double-speak way of saying all Liverpool trains are cnacelled ?

Are they sending the Voyagers via Rugby - Coventry - Nuneaton ? They certainly should be. A case for wiring Coventry - Nuneaton as a diversionary route ?

The LM Trent Valley services were being terminated at Nuneaton southbound earlier on.
