I wish Spitfire would include 33s on a Railtour. Also, a pair of 31s would be nice, but all depends on West Coast Railway's Safety Case.

... And the target market.
I think quite a few promoters have been rather unlucky this year. As you say, hopefully 2012 will be a bit better.
If a tour wouldn't sell with a pair of 33s, then how about a 33/37 combination?

I'd still quite like to do the Dungeness branch at some stage.
No, you don't. It's borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring.

the possibility if ready of 37025 & 37175 for a Highland Line/Kyle & Far North tour?
I'll be happy to see somebody plug the gap left by Rail Blue Charters. Some blue and grey tours from Yorkshire to Devon, Cornwall, Kyle, Oban, South West Wales, Great Yarmouth to name but a few... Just some good, old fashioned, people moving, Merrymaker type excursions. Sadly, though, these may be a thing of the past? Hope not.
A few beers will no doubt liven it up
Plenty of time for boozing it up that's for sure. The number of open crossings got on my nerves. Let's see how long it took when I went there, Six Bells Junction here I come...Worth copy-pasting the relevant part of my report of the tour from SBJ too:
"Now, the Dungeness branch is not known for fast running, and sure enough our run was to be no different. The amount of open crossings was, in my opinion, maddening. The constant slowing down to 5mph for the crossings was starting to grate on my nerves. When the realisation dawned that we had to do it all again in the opposite direction, I started dossing! At least on the way back we had 66710 leading, and indeed did all the way to Neasden Junction, so we had some much more serious power at the front to get us moving. It didn't make the journey up the branch any more exciting mind!"
Can't find the relevant times now, but I see it was booked about an hour from Appledore to Dungeness and back!
87002 anywhere and I am there
A lot of love on here for 87002, hope theres some operators out there looking at this thread, The Royal Scot revisited Euston-Glasgow and back first stop Preston blue/grey stock would be so sweet!
I know Railblue had something along those lines plans but 86101 was down to spoil the party just like the old days when it appeared on many an 87 diagram!
I'm afraid it holds a special fascination for me. For years I've seen it curving away enticingly when passing through Appledore Junction. I've also always wanted to see a train go by when travelling along the A259, but sadly those crossing lights have never so far started flashing.
Traction would have to be a Thumper though.
I love all class 50's ...and you cant beat a hoover on the mainline, However something from the norm of 50031/50044/50049 would be nice.... I know all 3 are owed by the 50 fund and no other Loco's are mainline certified who belong to other groups.... But...
Id love to see one or 2 of the other class memebers on the mainline, I understand 50026 is getting there... anyone know if this is still going to happen?
Gutted 50007 hasnt made it back on the main line yet
