Having worked from Cricklewood to Brush (5Z81) yesterday, 180102 completed its transfer to Heaton today (5Z82) to give GC an extra set. I understand this is to cover for work on the rest of the fleet and the fact that the fleet is severely stretched with '101 away at Hull for the foreseeable future.

On a slightly different note: 1N20 developed a fault at York today, 43484 said to be the problem child. Train held at York for fitter ex-1A61, worked forward late and subsequently lost further time, set arrived at Sunderland 35 late and diagram caped, 5N20 continuing forward to Heaton instead of Pelaw. Power car swap said to be booked to allow set to turn out for Diagram 432 (A60 etc) tomorrow morning!

At least it'll give 102 a bit of a shakedown (and no doubt a breakdown) before it re-enters service proper.

Was 115L on 'Z82, not sure if that was a unit fault, am guessing its more likely to be pathing!! Could be doing without 180s dropping out really so hopefully itll hang in there :)

I previously created a thread after seeing it pass Southbound through Luton. Where did it come from, and why to Cricklewood then back North?

Unsure about the exact routing of the transfers...not sure if some shakedown running was required or not to be honest. Time will tell what it performs like in service!

It would also appear that the set ex-1A63/D73 has run ECS to Doncaster and thence to York to pick up N24, running late forward to Sunderland. This places a single set at Crofton overnight. Whether a night time transfer can be made to have sets ready for the start of play remains to be seen...otherwise I suspect the mid-turn may be a cape tomorrow.

Hasn't it been at Brush for a while? There has been a 180 in there around the back for a few weeks, which went sometimes today (was there when I passed at about 8 this morning, but gone when I passed again in the afternoon).

Wrong there chum ! Set of 1N20 had pc swap at htn,43484 replaced by 423,ran as 5Z65 with the intention of making 1N24 from KX,HOWEVER,set had AWS probs with 43423 between york and donny. After advice, set went forward to babworth loop and then back over into ranskill down loop, from there it was into donny to pick up GC pax off 1D23 and onward to sunderland arriving there 30ish late !!! ;)

In that case I do apologise....would appear that the rather sketchy info I received was a bit wide of the mark, not helped by the fact that the first NB report for '1N24' was Donny Station!!

And those pesky power cars are starting to get annoyed aren't they...must be trying to compete with the 180s :D

Out of interest- why isn't this unit getting swapped with the GC unit that HT are currently hiring? Surely that would be less confusing for passengers? Surely it would be better for accounting too for HT to be directly hiring this unit?

Don't go giving them ideas! We'll have services cancelled due to a lack of stickers again! Lol!
