Does anyone know if the train which will form the 1601 to KGX has arrived in York yet? I was supposed to catch the delayed 1555 but would like to catch that one instead. Thanks in advance.

Might want to get there ASAP because it looks like that might be one of the only trains heading to London that isn't either cancelled or heavily delayed so is likely to be pretty busy.

Strange - my train, the 1555 has gone from delayed to on time on live departure boards. Thanks for the advice.

person hit by a train near northallerton

They clean the train after it arrvies and you can board form about 1545.

If you are lucky you might see the 20 hauled RHTT oass through just before you leave.

It's not really delayed yet as it's only just leaving Newcastle whilst the disruption will be around Northallerton. I would keep an eye on it as it's likely that the delay will start to creep back up in around twenty minutes or so.

Edit: Correction it's not actually arrived at Newcastle yet it must be stuck outside waiting for a platform and is just showing overdue.

thanks. Does anyone know if trains are moving through Northallerton again now?

Accroding to NRE here delays are expected until 19:00.

The 1533 is ten down at Doncaster and not due at York now until 1542.

Edit: However thanks to the wonders of timetable padding and having a good clear run from Doncaster we're back to being due on time. The 1555 is however still sat outside Newcastle and now 26 mins overdue.

Further Edit: Not sure if you're still on the forum but if you are, then I would head over to platform 6 ASAP it would appear that the 1601 is going to be the first and perhaps only train heading to London for some time. So its quite possibly going to be like sardines. Everything else seems to be getting cancelled at Newcastle and Darlington.

91132 the jinxed one claimed another victim albeit pushing the 1200 EDB-KGX
The signaller was unable to stop a northbound TPX from entering Northallerton and bodyparts were strewn over the platforms as they alighted

As an extra bonus the 1601 ex York today is the HST with the EC tracker, so we can watch it online up the ECML in real time...
Just calling at Newark.
