It has been announced that Manchester Metrolink 1003 is currently in the workshop recieving the new Metrolink livery, The tram has been in the works for about 3 weeks now and for part of that it was missing a bogie, when it rerurns i we will be able to see what the official livery is like on a T68 (And not the corrination Street Crash Tram)

Shame they aren't repainting it into Corporation Colours like Sheffield did with on of the Supertrams

Interesting, considering a few weeks ago they were saying that they were fast tracking the T68 withdrawal programme.

Ah, well, they're obviously copying old BR tradition. Remember when you could always tell if a signalbox was going to be closed because it was repainted first...?

Maybe, as there's a lot of them, they could do a unit in each?

In the case of the Corporation trams then Manchester, Salford, Stockport, Bury and Rochdale were all Red and Cream anyway.

Stalybridge, Hyde, Mossley and Dukinfield were green and Oldham, Ashton and Hyde were Blue (I think).

Could be the opportunity to make the trams quite colurful though.

Had to do a double take on my tea break today when I seen that half emerged from the shed. Looks very tidy. :)

Its now out and about in service; Railway Herald

Personally I think it looks a bit half arsed, I think it needs a bit more grey on the front end?

The front looks shocking, especially the lights etc

It does REALLY annoy me when people have a livery in mind, and then just apply it to everything thinking it will suit. I mean it doesn't take a genuis to figure out that it would have been better to come up with a modified T68 livery, especially after was already known that T68s look terrible in it! (1015(?) with "PolitanLink")
