This is essentially a spin-off from my Hourly Services game and Adtranz's 'The Next Station Is...' game but with a few differences, principally that it's set in Ireland (by which I mean the entire island, both Northern Ireland and the Republic).

In this game there is no point scoring element - instead the objective is to travel the entire network using only scheduled services that operate at least once a day on all five weekdays. You can use any rail line as well as Luas but no non-rail transport. You cannot reverse course on the same service as was used in the previous move unless you are at a terminal station with no other services operating from it.

Lastly, it would be good if we could state what stock we've traveled on in each move and what service operated it (out of the choices of Commuter, DART, InterCity, NIR, Luas or Enterprise). That's not a concrete rule, more of a guideline so don't worry if your Irish stock knowledge isn't too hot, but please do state it if you do know.

We'll start at Bray having arrived from Greystones on a DART 8500 class unit. Take it away!

To Charleville on IC (22000), there's about 2tpd non-stop.

Well apparently I'm the only person here who's interested in Ireland's railways!

Might as well take the line all the way to Tralee on the 22000 so we can reverse and come back onto the rest of the network! I might modify the OP rules if this takes off to any degree seeing as how much of the IE network is branches.

Going to jump on an Intercity 22000 or 2600 or whatever they've put on it today to Cork Kent. Of course it's really just called Cork but I guess it's a bit of a Northampton Castle moment!

Named after a figure in the Easter Rising of 1916 actually - see Tralee Casement and Galway Ceannt too.
