Anyone know why the 319s are in a shocking state externally?
They are covered in filth and often have graffiti or window etching problems with the graffiti only partially removed.
Some of the Southern liveried units are especially grim. Windows are barely see through.
Is this due to the engineering blockades affecting the cleaning schedule combined with placing them in sidings next to trouble spots?
They might be better inside but externally they are a throw back to the days when grim trains covered in filth and graffiti plagued the south east.
