Seems like there's quite a large shortage of drivers? A quick look at Journeycheck at the moment shows:

Neilston > Glasgow Cent.
Gourock/Wemyss Bay > Glasgow Cent.
Largs > Glasgow Cent.

with pretty much all services on these routes being replaced by buses due to 'a member of the train crew being unavailable'

This also seemed to cause loads of problems with Edinburgh > Helensburgh throughout the whole day (in some cases places along the route having no trains for over an hour and a half)... and I personally saw one of the services that was 'started at Airdrie, due to a member of the train crew being unavailable' being worked by a 6 car 320! Odd.

ScotRail never seem to have had any issues with Sunday staffing before, to my knowledge? They've actually been very good in my opinion. What's up today? And why the 320 on Ed>He?

Drivers aren't working their rest days due to a dispute.

Ah, yes read that in the news today.

Strange though, seemed like they didn't know it was coming? At least until Neilston/Cathcart/Ayrshire started disappearing in the evening.

It hits them hard on a Sunday, so much cross depot cover during the week though, not to mention more bodies out.

If the Helensburgh train was started at Airdrie it could easily be a 320; they still get used routinely Mon-Fri on a couple of peak-time services and some early-morning and late-evening Sunday workings. Unfortunately they can't work beyond Airdrie, hence why we get 334s nowadays.
