Can find no sign of these fares on either Virgin or East Coast Train websites this morning - has anyone else had any success?

Virgin's First Class Seat Sale starts November 23rd, for travel between December 10th and January 22nd.

o £17 between stations to and from West Midlands one way
o £24 between stations to and from Stafford & Stoke-on-Trent one way
o £28 between stations to and from North West one way
o £30 between stations to and from North Wales & Cumbria one way
o £40 between stations to and from Scotland one way

Prices to/from the West Midlands and Stafford/Stoke are slightly lower than last time, whilst all other fares are slightly higher. To be fair to Virgin, the new prices better reflect the different distances involved.

Tickets will be available to book through ALL booking engines. Child discounts apply. Railcard discounts do NOT apply.

I've had no problems finding the promotional fares through Virgin's 'Best Fare Finder.' Also found them using redspottedhanky.com.

My particular journey, EUS-MAN 14th December early afternoon, is actually cheaper at the moment buying the regular 1st Advance with a railcard discount.

Cheers - managed to bag a few £28.00 one way 1st Class between Chester and Euston via the Virgin 'Best Fare Finder' - still not available on East Coasts site though.

This the very time not to be travelling first class on Virgin. Their first class, especially on Voyagers, is pretty claustrophobic and is only pleasant if it's almost empty. Luckily I have no plans that would entail travelling on Virgin trains during December and January.

Anyone know if these 1st Class tickets allow access to the First Class Lounges at Euston? The Virgin Website says 'To enter the First Class lounge, just show your valid Virgin Business, First Anytime or Advance First ticket. Naturally, you can only enjoy our lounges on the travel date shown on your ticket.'

The Promotional Fares are 'First Promo Single'.

Yes, they will allow access to any Virgin Lounge.

Excellent! Will make full use of those when I'm travelling then!

It's actually £14 cheaper return for my normal journey to travel First Class than Standard Class using this offer - plus you get fed and watered into the bargain! My normal train is always full anyway in Standard so I'll be able to experience crowding in First Class for a change as opposed to Standard Class :D

Don't forget you can use the lounges at the beginning and end of your journey (if they exist at those stations!). If you look hard enough before about 10am there is also cereal in the lounges in the West Midlands:

Coventry
Birmingham Intl
Birmingham New St
Wolverhampton
