Good pics, how often does freight run through Skipton?
Naughty naughty, travelling to Skipton on a WYPTE Day Rover 
Grippage is sporadic on the Aire Valley line beyond Keighley, so it's usually safe enough.
Nice pictures though, especially the milepost at (I guess) Ilkley.

All day, every day. Mostly coal from Scotland to the Yorkshire power stations, which seems to produce a train about every 2 hours. There's also stone coming out of Swinden Quarry near Grassington on a much more sporadic basis. Closer to Leeds scrap is tripped out of Crossley Evans' yard just south of Shipley station, I guess to Healey Mills.

na we got caught at skipton lol had to pay £2.80 thought it was part of west yorks rover
