Just had the up Highland Sleeper zoom past platform 4 at MKC whilst I was waiting for the 1102 to Euston. Anyone know the reason for the massive delay. It appears to have departed Falkirk on time.

Train fault just outside Haymarket - looks to be running about 4 hours late.

90039 decided somewhere between Slateford and Midcalder that it had had enough and didn't want to go any further. Usual skoda quality, a mere four hours late at Carlisle...

Interesting - well my SuperVoyager has presumably caught up with it as we're going slower than usual through Kings Langley.

Thats not massive delays by Highland Sleeper Standards my records are: Southbound being woken at Garelochead when the train should have been passing Watford Junction after the first 37 caught fire and the rescue 37 failed. Northbound woken in a loop somewhere near Shap when we should have been approaching Crianlarich due to overrunning engineering works. On both occasions i slept really well I suspect because the train spent most of the night stationary!

Perhaps we should hire them one of our East Anglian machines. Well maybe not 90009 ;)

Agreed it's not massively late, I was just very surprised to see it at 11am after I'd already gone to MK, had 2 meetings and was en route back to London!
