Saturday 17th December, from Westbury, Bath Spa, Bristol Parkway, Cheltenham Spa, Barnt Green, Birmingham New St and Birmingham Intl (outward only):

http://www.pathfindertours.co.uk/in...-reader/events/the-festive-jingle-jangle.html

Class 08, 60, 66 and 92 haulage at various points during the day, as well as rare track moves including the Independent lines at Crewe, Wapping Sidings, Ince Moss Curve, Dallam RMT, Latchford and Gresty Green Sidings.

(Waits for comments about price...)

Looks good!

I booked about 3 tenths of a second after it became available as Warrington was my old spotting haunt. Just to do WBQ Low Level would be enough reason for me!

Pity I have to go all the way to Birmingham to get on it.

I hope the confirmed timings make it run earlier, 1920 back into Brum is absolutely awful to get back to East Lancs from.

Having said that, the track makes up for it! One of the best trackbashing tours I have seen in a while!

I decided to book into the Etap so I can sample the delights of a Saturday Night out in Birmingham.

Actually maybe we ought to have some car sharing thread on here? If it's a tour starting from Crewe, I usually drive so could easily provide a lift.

(I'd put that light-bulb "Idea" smiley here but it looks like someone bending down in the bath to me :))

All I hope is that the confirmed timings are not too far out from the proposed ones as I intend to go to New Street on the train for this. The alternative would be one or two nights in a hotel or a drive to Barnt Green, which won't be much fun if the weather is bad.

Since this thread is 24 hours going and no one has mentioned price yet, might as well get it out of the way;

£79.50! How much?... :D

A bargain compared with some other promoter's trips. I believe one other promoter has a tour next March which is already full even though the price has yet to be advised! :o

That would be telling ;)

EDIT - Let's just say that most of their tours sell out within a couple of weeks.

Must be The Immingham tour run by BLS...safely booked on that one...assuming Gas received my cheque !!

Last enthusiast tour of the year, so having a blast. Better remember plenty supplies of food & drink for this one, as after International, looks like there isnt a break of any kind.

Another sort of bump, sorry guys. Anyway, I do have to say that yesterday was a very good day out, the pick up / set down times were reasonable, all track was covered as requested (even though some routes were reversed when NR did the timings), the locos were fine, and 31601 (I think) made an appearance as the mystery loco from Walton Old Sidings-Latchford.

I do however have to say the non-station times for the tour were frankly awful. One hour in Wapping Sidings alone, and about 90-120 minutes waiting for paths elsewhere.

I had a nice doze at Wapping :)

Lots in our coach moaning about the lack of the 08 (and a few frozen bauble jokes :))

It was a good tour apart from that fester at Wapping/Ditton! I'm not one for doing loops other such quail map lines but doing Warrington RMT was amusing, saw a couple of confused looking Royal Mail workers as we passed through

Enjoyed the tour. A little dissappointed that the unspecified 'DBS' loco turned out to be 31601. Think some would have prefered 60039 or 66086 that were also there.

Was abit concerned intially about the lack of decent break, but that was soon overcome when I saw what was on offer at the Kitchen car.

Had the full breakfast which was very good.
