Usually a 67 for UKR tours unless specified otherwise.

So thats what 6024 and Tornado were doing in the sidings at Coton Hill earlier then!

There were a lot of folks in Hi-Viz jackets gathered around 6024, and its smoke box door was open - assuming this was routine (not an expert of steam loco technology sorry).

Lovely to see them as I whizzed past on a bus!

Something went wrong, as I'm sat behind it on the 1716 off Salop, and a freight train, just now trundling through Church Stretton. Should have been in Ludlow at :42

At Watford Junction ATOS Anne announced this train as "the 09:36 service to Ludlow calling at Birmingham International, Bescot Stadium and Ludlow!"

(Bescot Stadium was where a crew change took place)
Those stops were shown the departure board/platfrom screens at Watford Junction so hope no-one intending to go to Birmingham International decided to get on - the train didn't stop there in the end outward - but did so on the return to let a Pendolino go ahead.
Fast line all the way back from Rugby to Watford Junction arrived there about 20 minutes early.
