On Sunday 27th August while on our way out, a mate and I who are both TCT (Track Clearing Team) members of the Wisbech & March Bramley Line, were travelling along the A47 Wisbech by-pass, when ahead of us we saw a row of traffic stopped in both directions at the local level crossing because the lights were flashing and claxon sounding. Knowing there was no way a train can get down this far, we pulled into a lay-by across the road and I called the signal box direct on my mobile and informed them what was happening, before donning our hi-vis vests and going to investigate why. Before we could get to the same crossing on foot, the lights had stopped and traffic started moving again. I admire ALL those drivers who had stopped 'in case' a train did come along, but at the same time, knew it was impossible to happen because of the vast amount of vegetation in both directions, still awaiting clearing.

I did remark to my mate, that it was either an Extra-High-Speed Train or perhaps a Ghost Train, because nobody saw it pass. Three days later, this story had made the local press and within 24 hours, one IDIOT took the story and put it on his website, BUT twisted the words to read that members of the WMBL (Wisbech & March Bramley Line) TCT were responsible for this taking place by laying a piece of metal across both running lines, when in fact, it was found to have been caused by a massive storm just hours before. Because of bad weather, the TCT did NOT go on the lines at all that day, but as to WHY he blamed us we DO know.
The fact is, he made it read as though we were, because he is now regularly slagging off of the Committee, so he was thrown out of the Group and had his membership revoked, yet swears he is a FRIEND of ours. 100% WRONG!

We have since named him R. Sole and we have another who's now giving us a few problems and named .......... Rodney. We have given the nickname 'Plonker' after Only Fools and Horses character. He doesn't like it, but then he shouldn't BE one.

Please don't take this the wrong way, I know just how irritating irritating people can be.

But there doesn't seem to be a source of information about the project anywhere on the internet that doesn't refer to whatever rift has happened, and it doesn't cast the project in as positive light as it could be.

The only reason I'm saying this is becaue I strongly want you to succeed, and I wouldn't want anything that could make it harder for this to happen to get in your way.

I did try pointing this out, but trainman didn't want to accept what i was saying. When you read the accounts of events, they are very similar, including the ones here, so i reckon it's all written by one person
