Considering I've only had one experience on a Pendolino, between Glasgow Central and London Euston (in FC, thankfully), I'd like to say that there may be a chance, a slim chance, but a chance of it happening. It all depends on the path that they are using.

I think that somewhere along the line a train will be routed incorrectly, or block the fast lines. Should be a good day for ya though, mate. Welcome to RailUK.

How can it block the fast lines? It could be blocked on the fast lines, but not sure how it's blocking them?

Does anyone know which Pendolino is to be used?
My money is on 390050 'Virgin Invader'!

I meant another train (321 or 350) might be blocking the fast. Not the pendo :)

The other operators should co-operate and play nice. Its just a one off and if they manage it then its good publicity for the railways in general. I dont think that the majority of the public differentiate between different TOCs in the way we tend to.

I can name a number of journeys where there is a choice...

Glasgow to London - VT or GNER
Edinbugh to London - Likewise
Glasgow to Penzance, VT or FSR, GNER, LU & FGW ....

to name just 3.

Wheres the name of this thread "Virgin Angels" come from?! I thought it was refering to "rateable" traction in relation to the "Virgin Angels" that were once applied to several Virgin "Skodas" and I think a couple of sevens. Stupid Pendolino rubbish.

There are loads of choices, to Liverpool to Rugby (or even Euston on a stopper with CT) (VT or CT), Manchester to Stoke, (VT or NR) , Manchester to Lancaster (TPE, NR, VT), plus many more.
