358 so far, consisting of long journeys around London, EUS-PRE (the PRE-EUS was on 31st Dec), and PRE-DGT and return.
Hope I'm in with a shot!
(My mileage will be updated every journey)

I wasn't sure where to put this, but I thought it would be appropriate here as it definitely contributes to the mileage record.

I made a FOI request to TfL a few weeks ago about the DLR Canning Town to Stratford International extension and today they responded with the requested information.

Code:
                                       Distance (m) Distance (chains)
Stratford International to Stratford 1,324 65.8
Stratford to Stratford High Street 437 21.7
Stratford High Street to Abbey Road 621 30.9
Abbey Road to West Ham 587 29.2
West Ham to Star Lane 774 38.5
Star Lane to Canning Town 783 38.9

[B]Total Distance 4,526 2 miles 65 chains[/B]

Note: TfL provided only the distance in metres. I used Google's calculator feature to convert metres to chains and have rounded them (the chains) up or down to one decimal place.

Still in Erfurt, first four days of my little bash proved to be underestimated - more like 1,800 miles. Doing rather more miles (kms) than originally intended due to the extreme cold out here, far too chilly to stand around photting - thought that I was going to freeze to death on top of the Brocken mountain it was that cold!

Just as an aside, the old technology of steam heating carriages was far more effective today than the fridge of a modern unit I returned back to Erfurt in

now up to 974 miles not a flying start but going nice and steadily should break the 1k barrier tomorrow easily with hunting my last two fgw power cars

Nice one! I can now update my RailMiles account with the gen, so thanks for sharing! :D

I managed to clear 4000 today which also included my final FGW HST power car for haulage! But managed to miss the EMT one that was visiting thanks to some unexpected delay added to my train by the signallers (allowing the XC with the EMT power car to pass! ).

1,053 after yesterday's GM Challenge. Almost accumulated 500 for the day. Almost.

Now, if only that bit that went wrong had worked properly...

What?! Ivo, ahead of me?! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA?!

I've done pretty well over the last few days, now on 1,485 miles and 67 chains. Still over 18,500 to go, looks like two weeks of slaving away with high-speed, high mileage bashes will have to be done in June!

Hmm, might actually do that Great Escape bash tomorrow then! <D

I will work out my mileage in due course, but I'm guessing circa 3,000 having done the following InterCity trips already:
Bristol - London sgl
London - Ipswich rtn
London - Birmingham rtn
London - Canterbury rtn
London - Penzance/St Ives rtn
London - Edinburgh rtn
London - Newcastle rtn
London - Huddersfield rtn
With at least 10 miles weekdays for my commute from Z2 to Z1.

I'd love to know how 59001 was a required cop for you there, as RailMiles reports in your signature!

Trip report will possibly be done later, I've been busy today doing all sorts, and now I've got a lot more paperwork to do than originally planned this morning. Got tomorrow off, but may be going to see the 3D version of Star Wars Episode 1 :D

Oh well, I've had that sort of thing happen to me on countless occasions. Must be a reason why it comes up in the manner it does.

No 2012 table yet?? ;)

Still trying to work some of my mileage out, but is around the 8,000 mark at the moment with a final fling back home from Nürnberg tomorrow.

PS: You will probably be pleased to hear that I have no further foreign trips due for a couple of months and will be flying out and back for the next two

Currently on Krakow. Will be heading off on Wednesday, plan to do the following:

Krakow-Warsaw
Warsaw-Berlin
Berlin-Prague
Prague-Bratislava
Bratislava-Budapest
Budapest-Belgrade
Belgrade-Istanbul (with a possible stop in Sofia)

For anyone wondering why I'm not doing Krakow-Prague direct:

1. I haven't been to Warsaw for more than 20 years
2. I really like Berlin, was there a fortnight ago
3. Polish trains are really crap and would not want to trust connections, only direct trains. There is a Krakow-Berlin direct service but it takes 10 hours, is only 4 coaches & really crowded and has no catering.

Well I'm on my way home from my Great Escape and it will leave me on 4939 so far. There are some big mileages so far this year from quite a few people already.

I'm up to 1985m 56ch - thanks to a second East Midlands 3 in 7 rover.

Bearing in mind that I only got around 4500 last year, so I'm doing quite well by my own standards :)

Added a further whopping 9 miles & 68 chains today(!), bringing my total mileage of the year to 310 miles, 24 chains. Not a great start, but will be adding some more over the next few weeks, including a trip to Saxilby, Churnet Valley Railway, and a railtour or two.

Still need to work mine out for the year yet - may have to try do something about it this weekend!

A lot of it has been fairly local mileage so I don't imagine it being over 400 or so thus far. I have a return trip to London coming up though, with EMT and GC in the next week and a bit which will push it up as well as over 2,000 miles planned mileage for April
