Nowhere near enough to a Pacer :(
theyve come a long way since 2004 and theres been many changes and not entirely for the better - I quite miss the Olimpians on a short run or at least one with stops not in the middle of nowhere! :) what Im wondering is now its all coaches has anyone ever had any odd or interesting substitutions iether as a dupe or a replacement at short notice?

Only one I've experienced was during a rail engineering blockade north of Dundee and a bluebird Low Floor Dart ran to Dundee from Aberdeen due to a very high number of pax. Enjoyed that one. :)

Theoretically it should all be coaches, however its far from unheard of for bustituations.

Manchester or North East E400s are fairly common

I have heard of an Alexandser PS bodied Volvo B10m turn up on a megabus working from Cardiff to London after the vehicles which was supposed to be used failed and they had no other coach available at the time.

I am sure a solo has worked a Megabus duplicate from Cardiff to Bristol because of some major event there before returning empty to Cwmbran (Glad it wasnt used to London its bad enough going from Aberdare to Porthcawl)

The B10M certainly managed to keep to the timetable with ease and I think there was 1 lucky bus enthusiast onboard it who was pleased. The only bad point was that it had no onboard toilet.

Luckily it was running non stop Cardiff - London and managed the journey in 3 hours 5 minutes arriving 9 minutes early
