I think, politically, this finally resolves the obstacles people had for making certain routes "TfL". Thameslink will run the one train on Southeastern that doesn't fit into TfL (namely the Gillingham semi-fast via Woolwich) and that leaves Cat and Tat, entirely in Zone 6, to go to TfL. Bugger...

They should all have the Shoes put on and go to Southeastern. There should be no question. It will mean the 377s can stay on Southern as a standard fleet AND the 319s don't need to appear.

Yes. All day services will be Cambridge - London (you know, Foxton, Ashwell, Welwyn North, Hatfield etc) will be provided 2tph. The peak time there will be the 2tph Welwyn Garden - London fast from New Southgate to Finsbury.

Not a lot of news on the recruitment front from inside, I'm afraid. I think there was mention of KGX and BFR (1 course each) before the end of the year. The rest, I guess, is Three Bridges / Bedford. There is no chance at all of Peterborough.

Aren't GBRf just leasing some roads to Colas Infrastructure Monitoring? Don't imagine they will be closing down a very valuable asset!

Hitchin is full. Don't think there's a chance of a course there as they put two people in last year for it. Lots of internals move there from Peterborough, Cross and Cambridge. Might be some jobs coming up at Cambridge but other than that it's Cross and Blackfriars (and Bedford).

Which is a wee bit of a shame. Would be really strong for the local economy, one assumes, for the "Semi Fast" (Finsbury, Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth, Baldock, Royston, Cambridge) to extend to Science Park and Ely when the work is finished on Science Park.
