Missing submersible near wreck of Titanic

If Thunderbird Two had dropped its pod containing Thunderbird Four, that could dive to 35000 feet and would have been suitable for the rescue. That is in a hypothetical scenario where science fiction had become fact.

Death of Queen Elizabeth II - How will everyday life and scheduled events be affected within the foreseeable future?

Went out on my motorcycle today. It was lovely, pretty much had the roads to myself, only saw a few other bikes and cyclists. Managed to find a garage for fuel and snacks then rode to visit Welland viaduct.

Don Coffey cab ride video discussion

Just watched the Tunsted to Bedford video. Was not aware of that fantastic viaduct north of Corby. I shall be heading out on my motorcycle soon to view that ! Brilliant stuff thanks

    Best Car You've Ever Owned

I have a 2012 Mini Clubman 1.6d which I bought from the local garage as I needed a car in a hurry. It was a temporary purchase. But that was in 2016 . It’s done 178k, easily does 60mpg. £20 a year tax and apart from a DMF at 150K has been utterly reliable. It’s fun to drive and the BMW...

QUESTION: How were steam locomotive water tanks cleaned?

Yes locos and fish were common. I saw a pick of a steam engine at Exeter with seacows and a shark :-)

Priorities of road users to be changed to place responsibility on those that pose the greatest danger to others.

I own a car, I also cycle but my first love motorcycles. Ironically these days on the road I actually feel safest on my motorcycle! It’s a large 1200 CC adventure bike and I tower above everyone except trucks giving a fantastic view of the road. It’s got plenty of power to get me around...

Priorities of road users to be changed to place responsibility on those that pose the greatest danger to others.

It’s because a huge amount of car drivers are loaded with PCP finance on their latest “Status symbol” and therefore think they have more rights than anyone else. God forbid they have to add 30 seconds to their journey time either

    Where is the North-South divide?

I’m from Devon so for me anything above Peterborough is where you get coal and gravy on chips.

Employee rights to socialise while off work due to illness

Quite right. Trouble is we seem to live in a society where people are quick to judge without considering what someone might be going though.

Employee rights to socialise while off work due to illness

Back in early 2017 I was signed off work for 3 weeks due to stress/exhaustion from too much business travel. After sleeping for what seemed like a week I started walking, mountain biking and small trips on my motorcycle plus visiting friends. It was all part of the de stress/recovery process...

London Waterloo to Kings Cross on a Friday evening

Absolutely sir. I’ve done this many times for years and actually it’s not as slow as you think. For a start at KGX it’s very quick to pick up the circle unlike the other lines which can be a bit of a rabbit warren.

London Waterloo to Kings Cross on a Friday evening

I always walk across the bridge from Waterloo and pick up the Circle at Embankment.

    UK locomotives in preservation abroad?

SR Schools Class Repton spent a few years running in the USA before being repatriated. It has a non standard modified tender where it was extended for more capacity!
