My train sat at Stafford for 40 mins, then a number of other stations. Then nearly 90 late they skipped Atherstone and Nuneaton which achieved nothing before getting terminated at Milton Keynes.

The footbridge is at the B end end of the platforms, which is at the rear of trains coming in from the Wolverhampton direction. I'm fairly sure it's stairs only though.
I was talking to one of the barrier staff for half an hour on my break one day and in that time 10-15 jumped/ pushed through the barrier. All young, mostly men. They could do with a couple of BTP stood just outside the door.

I volunteer at a mining museum and I'd love to be able to do a bit of mining. Sadly the council wouldn't give us planning permission for a measly 10 ton a year.
As long as your ticket was purchased before the train you are on departed the station no warning would come up on the screen. Our ticket scanners take no account of which train was selected at point of purchase for flexible tickets, only advances.
