Trivia: Biggest date gap between openings of two stations with a direct service

I believe the new East Linton is on a completely different site from the old one.

    Hereford Platform 4?

There is only one siding parallel to platform 1 and I have never noticed anything using it.

    Anomalous station names

Wikipedia (usual caution applies) says that Three Bridges already existed as a hamlet when the railway arrived. It was named after three bridges over local streams.

    New Station calendar

You mean East Linton, I think.

Derby Platform 7 - Why isn't it used? (and other unused platforms)

Realtime Trains shows a couple of early starts from Northampton platform 5.

Trivia: Platforms where you can only alight or only board.

Hereford platform 4 can only be used to depart. There is no crossover to allow trains to access it directly. I don't think there are any services using it in the current timetable.

    Double Slips

Your Reading example looks like a scissors crossing, not a slip.

Trivia: Electrification that's (likely) never been used.

Before covid, I think there were one or two peak-time trains that terminated in platform 1.

Route Indicator at Stechford Station West Midlands

I had assumed alphanumeric route indicators would only be used where there are many possible routes available - which isn't the case here. Why not just a position 4 'feather'?

Trivia: Longest journey time between two consecutive stations

I think you mean Acton Bridge to Warrington Bank Quay.

    The Volk's Electric Railway?

Wooden Steps from platform to train

Humps fitted in 2016, according to Wiki.

Trivia: Track layouts which seem to make little sense

Hereford too. Platform 4 is a north-facing bay with no direct access for trains arriving from the Shrewsbury/Worcester direction. A facing crossover north of the station would fix this, but the other three platforms can cope with current traffic so it's probably not worth it.
