Oyster query : Euston- WF Junct (LNW Fast) but tapping out at Watford high street

The TfL journey planner suggests this as a valid route, and returns a £4.00 fare for Watford High Street, vs £5.80 fare for Watford Junction.

£6,000 per year to get between Stratford and Colchester - any splitting opportunities?

I was surprised that the 18.35 from Liverpool St would be so packed. but, then I remembered that, due to the Norwich in 90 vanity project, trains to places such as Clacton have been cut. There used to be an 18.48 from Liverpool St to Clacton, but, now, after the 18.35, there is a large gap...

National Rail - Smart Ticketing website (Swan Song for paper tickets)

National Rail - Smart Ticketing website (Swan Song for paper tickets)

Fair enough. But, it just didn't ring true to me, in its colour scheme and the tone of the text and the fact that I couldn’t find any links to the actual national rail web site (doesn’t mean there weren’t any). It’s also a non secure site. So, for those reasons, I’ll steer clear of it.

And, for whatever reason, my, perfectly valid card, with adequate funds in my account, was declined at a London Underground station. There was no help to be had from the station staff, and for that reason, I use oyster.

    oyster cards in Euston ?

Yes, the Sunday start for weekly capping is very inflexible. Also, if you use contactless ‘too much’, you have to use your PIN every so often. No problem in Tesco, but, if it happens at an underground station, you get a declined transaction, no help from the staff, and no weekly cap. So, I use...

I think they also did a similar thing, but visiting every cathedral in the country.

When Are You Impressed By The Railway

It generally works quite well. But sometimes doesn’t. Just like everything!
