To be frank I’d suspect you’d be fine on any route on a weekday at those times. The service is unlikely to be busy. At a weekend though I’d use the route to Helensburgh Central or vía Falkirk Grahamston.

Scotrail are being absolutely ludicrous and it won’t be long before the hospitality industry tells them so. We have a situation now where shops, bars, restaurants and hotels are open but people absolutely shouldn’t use public transport to get to them! People are unlikely to want to go shopping...

Very odd that even with hospitality opening up in Scotland today, the last Edinburgh-Glasgow Service is at 2215 and there are no trains at all on the route from 2015-2215.
