A sizeable proportion must be wondering why government introduced a minimum service law they’re essentially unable to implement.
Ultimately it’ll only reflect badly on government If strikes continue without a settlement or minimum service.
Hardly a new phenomenon though as a while ago class 321s were delayed entering service.on the old Northern Rail due to the TOC & Dft squabbling over training costs.
There was certainly quite a considerable body of opinion on here prior to the first strike after the legislation passed, that thought DFT would instruct its TOCs to use MSL .
Voyagers always had those adapters behind the cab but how often were they actually used ? They always seemed to find another Voyager if rescue was needed.
Are DFT TOCs penalised in any way for not attempting to use MSL? If not it’s understandable why they’d want to avoid the hassle or if they are it must be just a token penalty. :s
