I drive London Underground trains, so if anyone has any questions regarding LU driving, fire away :)

    Where to live in London?

Have you considered East London, plenty of nice newly built apartments in Docklands, Limehouse and Wapping. These are my favourite parts of London, especially Wapping, and are the areas that I want to move to once I leave home in a year or so. The location close to Central London is great with...

Why is the s stock slow

You also have to remember that the 378s between Euston and Watford Junction run only every 20 mins and Bakerloo trains to Harrow & Wealdstone every 10 mins. So there isn't really so much of a chance that trains will catch up with each other.

Why is the s stock slow

Once the S Stock become automatic in a few years they will accelerate just as quick as the 2009 Stock on the Victoria Line. At the moment their acceleration is still limited to match that of the A and C stocks. And in reply to one of the posts above the 1996 stocks now usually reach around...

Last Day Of A Stock On The Met Line?

Yeah 5060+5090 were running on 413 from Amersham-Aldgate when it was taken out of service at Harrow-on-the-Hill. It was replaced by an S Stock, although 5060 was later reformed with 5022 at Neasden and returned to service in the evening peak running train 466, a fast Amersham service...

    Euro 2012

We beat them at Wembley 1-0 last year in a friendly, not just that but they were playing pretty much a full strength starting XI. If England are to play Spain in the quarter finals, which i expect to happen then i predict it will be very much the Barcelona vs Chelsea Champions League...

    South Wales electrification

I would very much to see 315s head to the Valley lines, after they become redundant after Crossrail is introduced. The 314s in Glasgow could also become available around the same time and these units are in the process of getting a refurbishment.

    'The Tube' (TV program)

I was the guy with glasses and blue top who spoke to the camera, thanks for the nice comments, not all young enthusiasts are of the arm waving, tone loving sort :)

Met and Northern line, a question each

5074 went about two weeks ago to Northwood for disposal alone, although this was due to it having a fault, normally two units would go together as an 8 car as you rightly said
