I too are for Birmingham IM. Your right in saying induction, PTS and rules are the same for HH and IM as you will be trained to mainline standards. The parts that will be different will be routes and possibly traction.

    Freightliner Various Trainee Drivers

Their were lots in my group who attended in a suit or trousers, shirt and tie. It really is the best type of dress to be professional. Their were a couple of people who attended in ripped jeans I'm not sure if this will be noted by the OPC. I did notice them jot notes down on a pad as they...

Just concentrate on the tests they have asked you to focus on in the email. The revision pack includes all driver assessment materials for the next stage of the recruitment process.

I would definitely print them off and practice. The tests are not designed to catch people out they are designed to evaluate your level of concentration, awareness and your ability to process lots of information at once. Print them off and give them a go and when you sign in to do the...

    Railway Recruitment Agencies

The only recruitment agency I know of is Samuel Knight who specialise in rail and energy sector recruitment. However it tends to be more for engineering and qualified driver roles. Network Rail and most TOCS/FOCS have their own careers websites so it may be worth registering for job alerts.

    Leave for Senior Conductors

You get 4 weeks of holiday pre booked. (1wk in the spring, 2 for summer and 1wk for winter). The pre booked holiday can generally be swapped with other colleagues. You won't get the same booked weeks every year as they are on a sliding roster. In addition to pre booked holiday you have...

GWR Train Manager Worcester Shrub Hill

I recently have seen this advertised. Just wanted to know if anyone knows anything about the depot? Routes signed? Traction? Earliest book on and latest book off? Any info greatly appreciated.

    Train conductor application

It really depends on which TOC you have applied for but generally speaking once you have submitted your application form, if your application progresses further you will be asked to attend for testing which involves SCATT or Group Bourdon (industry standard concentration tests), verbal...
