LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

Glasgow to London (Routed Any Permitted)? But this is marginally more expensive than off peak singles using Manors. Don't know if there's anything cheaper.

Northern Rail - Caught 30 mins earlier train

Your tickets weren't valid for that train. I don't know why you were apparently expecting that permission to board would mean permission to use an invalid ticket. When buying on your app it would have clearly stated something like 'specified train only' for the ticket you selected.

    TPE pricing oddities from Castleford

Looks like the fare route has just been updated from 'TPE Only' to 'Not via Leeds or Doncaster' so at least excesses can now be bought to travel via Leeds in one direction on a return. Restriction codes have been added to the Off Peak fares. Annoyingly, the fare route for destinations beyond...

London to Folkestone - going via Wye

Checked the routeing guide and don't think Canterbury is on any permitted routes from London to Folkestone.

Long Distance Super Off Peak through London at Peak Times

The restriction code for this fare has just been changed from YX to KX but the associated text for the restriction has not yet been added to the database. From looking at the 'unpublished data' it appears this is meant to be valid for your journey as it bars travel out of Paddington up to 10:03...

    Wolverhampton to Euston via Stafford

If your first train runs late and this causes you to miss your connection then your ticket will still be valid to travel.

Kings Cross Ticket Office refusing to sell walk-up ticket for 'sold out' GC Train

Like the 'last train to Leeds' after the cup match next week where standard class reservations had run out, this is another case of LNER trying to overcharge a passenger by only offering a first class ticket. This false compulsory reservations nonsense needs to be brought to an end.

Protests at the ticket barriers at Bradford Interchange.

Sounds like police weren't aware/in attendance?

Northern Claim I should get refund not delay repay - start short journey by own transport means

Did you actually visit the branch line station on that day to start your journey from there, or did you make your own way directly to the main line station?

LNER London - Leeds £220 single on Social Media/Yorkshire Evening Post

This match can go to extra time and penalties, Leeds fans may have difficulty reaching King's Cross in time for the 23:33 without leaving early. With the false compulsory reservation flag set, it's impossible to buy a ticket online with an itinerary for this train now as there are no more...

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

Transport Focus response Thank you contacting Transport Focus following LNER's announcement about their fares pilot on journeys between London King’s Cross and Newcastle, Berwick-upon-Tweed and Edinburgh. The pilot temporarily abolishes peak times with the stated aim of ‘helping to smooth...

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

    1. Why are you assuming no standing passengers? The change here is that the walk-up-and-go standing passengers on a full train will have to pay the Anytime rate rather than the Off Peak rate. 2. If you generally offer fewer Advances or make them more expensive then you won't shift as much...
