    Carlisle Disruption

Ouch. Wonder how long that'll take to fix. I'm working to ABD tomorrow night. I've been made aware that GSW wasn't an option as the damage is from Gretna jct south and nothing has run from GSW to Carlisle since the incident.

    Carlisle Disruption

Indeed they do, however, ECML diversions need drivers from Doncaster for part of the run. Wembley men (usually the same crews we have to take us up the wcml to Preston) take it to Doncaster. Doncaster men take it to Newcastle and millerhill crews take it onwards and vice versa (millerhill also...

    Carlisle Disruption

All sleeper train managers are cleared to take trains via GSW or ECML. Most likely DBS can't provide locos/crews to run over these diversions.

Caledonian Sleeper 1S26 at York tonight (25/08)

I'm on sleeper tonight. While we're booked to stop there we never do nowadays as EC refuse to dispatch us. The only time we stop at york is when we have to do a crew swap, 23rd Dec last year for example, so crew can be home for Chrimbo etc...

ScotRail deny blind man and guide dog Sleeper booking

Not entirely true. Only scotrail cleaners on sleeper are at Fort William & Inverness. Aberdeen is serviced by Clayhill staff (East Coast employees) and Edinburgh/Glasgow services at Polmadie (Alstom, probably subcontracted out). In London it's Wembley Alstom staff or subcontracted staff from...

    Best Ever Southern Region EMU

I have to say my favourite has to be the humble MLV - loved their versatility. I remember cabbing it with my dad (retired Charing x driver) on a 12 CEP + 2 MLV formation boat train back in the early 80's. 4000hp :-) (I think - 1000hp per CEP & 500hp per MLV). Immense train.

Pretty poor performing Skoda. Attempted to make up some time arrived (our portion) into gla about 9. 1h40m down. --- old...

Alternative Monaco Grand Prix - Only viewable on PC/Laptop youtube

Forgot to time my lap, I was bloody fast though ;) Joking aside, it's not far, you could walk it in about 20-25 mins easily. Very short lap. Also the hill upto the casino is a lot steeper than expected. One woman jogger (I had to cut it as the camera shook so much during the "rare on board...
