BE coded Super Off Peak restrictions, not apply days and easing

:o So... Do any routing restrictions still apply ? And is there any difference between a restriction not applying and being eased ? Originally I was just assuming the tickets simply weren't available weekdays, but an easement allowed them on certain weekends.

BE coded Super Off Peak restrictions, not apply days and easing

When it says "This restriction code does not apply on the following dates/days:", does it mean the ticket is not available or that the restrictions associated with the ticket do not apply on the dates ? Similarly what is the interpretation of the eased dates ? From trainsplit.com

    Bio-mode operation FGW ??

Battery development has improved cost and performance. Now a 20 ft shipping container full will give 500kwh @ 2MW, so a voyager could go for 2 hours at an average of half power, 80mph at least, 160 miles say. Cost about £1.2m though!

    Bio-mode operation FGW ??

So they just mean diesel-electric. Thanks. Does anyone know if they considered batteries ? That would have been good. But perhaps the gaps were too large ?

Penalty fare issued 15 seconds into journey as asking for ticket

Sorry you misunderstand me. I am suggesting that these measures would be more effective and just than the current PF measures implemented. Your suggestion is independent of the the PF implementation and not what I was referring to.

Penalty fare issued 15 seconds into journey as asking for ticket

Exactly. Inconsistent. I think one solution would be to put a notice directly on all the train doors. Then it really can't be missed. Another solution would simply be to program the guards' ticket machines to automatically issue tickets at penalty fare rates from PF stations. No...

Penalty fare issued 15 seconds into journey as asking for ticket

I provided a link earlier in the thread the relevant part is: How do I avoid a Penalty Fare? To avoid paying a Penalty Fare, you must purchase a valid ticket to your destination for the class of travel you wish to use before starting your journey. If you are unable to do so, you must buy...

Penalty fare issued 15 seconds into journey as asking for ticket

So if I had let the RP pass as he was in fact doing would I not have been able to buy a ticket from the guard ? Oh and what happens if a passenger steadfastly claims they got on at the first non-PF station prior to their station ?

Penalty fare issued 15 seconds into journey as asking for ticket

I just caught the 1304 from Bradford on Avon to Bristol which was running about 3 minutes late. 2 carriages, sat down straightaway halfway down first carriage and immediately saw train staff coming down the carriage he seemed to be walking past but I was geting my wallet out and managed to...

Can 1 person use the Scotrail "2 anywhere returns for £35" ?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_domesticated_animals lists inter alia, yaks, water buffalo, camel, alpaca, llama, horses as "domestic animals". A family could take half a zoo.

Can 1 person use the Scotrail "2 anywhere returns for £35" ?

Or indeed even know they are travelling with you or consent to such.... Why didn't I think of this before ... There really isn't any reason why you can't purchase the ticket for yourself and anyone on the planet is there ? Bring on the popcorn.

    Edinburgh - Inverness - Glasgow

Scotrail are currently offering a 2 go anywhere return for £35, so you could do the caldercruix-inverness return for £35 (But you have to be an "Advance member"; but that just involves buying some carnet tickets).... Personally, I can't see why one person can't use this, and that is being...
