Is Huntingdon to London valid via Cambridge?

Thank you SS4! I saw the ticket and someone asked the question and I had no idea haha. So I appreciate the help you've given me! Brilliant answer. Is there a rating system? ;)

Is Huntingdon to London valid via Cambridge?

If I have a train ticket from Huntingdon to Kings Cross Return, is it possible for me to go from Kings Cross to Cambridge and then from Cambridge to Huntingdon? Bit of an odd question but I don't understand train tickets.

This cable thief paid the price

Shocking turn of events for that man. But is his own fault for trying to steal the cables.

    Switching off street lights overnight

Yes I have been down remote country roads at night but I always make sure I have a torch so I can see where I am going, as it's the sensible thing to do - after all it's up to you to look after yourself. If I came across a section where the street lights were broken or not working I'll be ready.

    Switching off street lights overnight

Hopefully you drive with headlights so have no need for street lights! - You'll clearly see what's in stopping distance with headlights.

    Switching off street lights overnight

It seems that way at first, but if you think about it logically, there isn't going to be many people on the streets after midnight, especially on a weekday, apart from the few who do late and night shifts and that's only going to be the odd person. So switching them off makes sense.

Company Use of Social Networking Sites

Twitter is great for updates on the railway. And you don't need a smart phone - I have tweets texted to me! I always have the operators I'm using texting me updates when I'm out.

Spelling and grammar on this forum

Wait.. there are rules on the forum? Best get to reading them! baha. In aid of the topic though: I find that the lack of spelling on any website annoys me, whether it be RailUK or not.

What do these mean on tickets.

Thanks for such quick responses. I've always wondered what they mean. :D It's always nice to learn new things! @ transportphoto 16 is the limit?! No UK Station goes over 16 characters? Or are they abbreviated if they do?

What do these mean on tickets.

So here is something I've wondered for a while, infact everytime I buy a train ticket. What is the writing on the the ticket in between the orange bits? I mean the small writing. Says something like Rail Settlement Plan. Also, when I buy a return ticket why does one of the destinations...
