Just wanted to say thank you to everyone’s contribution!
I spoke to the ticket office, it’s around £850 so I’m going to leave it and let it expire naturally. So from June I’ll be going from £478 a month to between £266 and £304 depending on the amount I work from home by doing them as daily...
Thanks for all the advise but I think we’re getting side tracked. I’m not concerned about the 26-30 railcard discount I just want to figure out roughly what to expect back from my gold card if I refund it now rather then waiting :)
My cost is going to go down from £470 which I’m paying a month back to work to around £266-304 depending on the amount I work from home so it’s definitely worth it for me I just need to work out the refund amount for my gold card so I can see if it is worth doing now or waiting till it expires.

Yeah I do, I have friends that use it during peak and they get their third off so I think it’s fine.
It takes my daily costs from nearly £30 to £18/19.
