How could the Elizabeth line expand?

Spot on, a fact that too many people do not realise, or choose to ignore, just as TfL does. Should never have been allowed to have been as “TfLised” as it has been.

    Ticket offices offering split tickets

I would not expect a ticket office to suggest splits, or other ways to obtain a cheaper fare (such as making use of positive easements) but likewise do expect them to sell me what I ask for when I present my requests. If more than two elements I tend to present a "shopping list", for which they...

Derailment between Hersham & Walton on Thames (04/03)

RTT (yes fully aware that its not always 100% accurate) suggests that 2F02 was the first to use the Up Slow (as normally booked) and cleared this area, arriving early at Surbiton, although it did then there sit there for twenty five minutes. 2L10 was then the first to use the Up Fast. Times...

Woman Gets £480 Bill For Putting Feet On Seats.

Regardless of what we think of MerseyRail for what they do and don't enforce, good on them for pursuing this. If this was enforced more widely (and more cases were then made public) then it might help to make it even more anti-social than it is, and should reduce the occurrences. See it...

    Barrier staff at Leeds station

One of the reasons that when travelling to a station I know is gated I often buy to the next station down the line, small price to avoid the inconvenience. So for Leeds, if approaching from the West I buy to Cross Gates. Often very little in it.

    getting rid of return tickets

Disturbed by the loss of flexibility which has come about following the removal of longer distance (ie not "Day" returns on this route. With the return ticket, the outward leg was valid for two (OP) or five (Anytime) days, and the return within a month, so allowing break(s) of journey en-route...

Ranger & Rover Tickets - Shrouded in Secrecy

Be great to see more promotion of Rovers and Rangers, as they are excellent value and a useful tool for the industry to draw leisure traffic in away from other modes. Some TOCs have in the past produced useful leaflets describing their rangers (Northern's was more of a booklet once they had...

Solution reached to save Day Travelcards

Excellent news! I always buy a travelcard when going up to London as its so straightforward and good value. I had started to pen a proposal for a NR only Day Ranger replacement but wont need to do that now either!

    LSL announce Pacer railtour

Great to see this has come to fruition, and if it sells well they will have proven their point. Railtours do not need to all be a rake of Mk1s with a 1960s diesel on the front. Disappointed by all of the Pacer bashing, if its not for you then dont go on it. Pacers are an important part of our...

    Heathrow Southern Link

This seems to be the main difference to previous proposals (Airtrack etc) for which the regular issue was those crossings, so a tunnel here would get round those, but removes Egham from the plan (cant have cake and eat it) Although the tunnel is only about a mile and a half, it will need to go...

My idea to create more three car class 150s.

From what I have read on here and other forums, it doesn't appear to be that much work involved in dividing a 150/1 to put another coach in the middle.
