    New Sunderland Station Building

It's a station where you get the train, next. On another note, I've just driven past to drop the other half off at the tattoo studio across the road from it. Looks great from the outside imo, much, much improved on the old building. Shame inside is a bit baron, but I'm sure they'll find use for...

    New Sunderland Station Building

Generally speaking people who depart will also arrive back to the same place.

Excellent value for money - Tyne&Wear Metro Adult DaySaver A+B+C

All of it, not sure if its all operators, but definitely all Arriva, GNE and Stagecoach services in Northumberland.

    Tyne and Wear metro heating

To be fair they've been that way as long as I can remember, and it's been over 10 years since I used them every day.

    North East Ticketing

I wonder if it's the type of problem that might get solving when looking at the rail side of it. The Tees Valley/North East CAs are less easy to separate when it comes to the trains. Hopefully they can work together to do something sensible like making certain towns able to access both areas...

Excellent value for money - Tyne&Wear Metro Adult DaySaver A+B+C

Just £6 now, and £6.80 if you want to extend it into County Durham and Northumberland. Also due to this new ticket price the A+B+C Metro Saver has dropped to £5.90, which makes it look like less of a bargain when it's an extra 10p to add all buses, and the Northern service between Sunderland and...

New Northern Express service between Newcastle and Middlesbrough - speculation and ideas.

Why would you miss out the second biggest city in the north east between Newcastle and 'Boro on an express route? Durham is a tiny place, Sunderland is almost 10 times bigger in terms of population. The old Northern Connect express that was going to go via the ECML was stupid too.

LNER - Apprenticeship Train Driver - Newcastle (07/03/23)

6 questions on the video, took me about 30 mins to do.

    Wrightbus StreetLite Hill Climb Performance

The Mercedes engined ones fly up hills when they can find the right gear, faster than anything short of a coach I've driven. Cummins engined ones, when healthy, aren't bad up hills either, but not as great as the Mercedes ones. The Mercedes 5.1 litre ones do seem to know that you're going up...

Compared to its predecessors, the B5TL hasn't been much of a success.

    LNER Trainee Driver Jobs (18/03/2020)

So I'm guessing that means at least some people would have passed? Finished mine about 30 minutes ago, rejected immediately.

Britain’s Bus Crisis: BBC One Monday 16th March

Tyne & Wear Network One tickets are still great imo, full week tickets valid on the bus, metro, ferry and train throughout Tyne & Wear! Just a shame it doesn't extend into Durham and Northumberland for the people who need to use GNE and Arriva in those areas.

Britain’s Bus Crisis: BBC One Monday 16th March

As well as no mention of the Manchester System One Ticket (not sure if you can get just a day, or a week ticket as I'm unfamiliar with the area). The mention of Stillington near Stockton seemed to conveniently neglect to mention the new Tees Flex service which should alleviate much of the...

Trainee Train Driver (and now qualified/'part-qualified') - Newcastle - East Coast Trains

So, completely guessing at what the job entails, comparing it to the other Open Access TOCs. I guess Newcastle will be the only driver depot, with train crews staying overnight in London and Edinburgh quite often, anyone got anymore insights or better guesses than me?
