Maybe that is what happened but it would take time to organise. According to RTT the train behind mine (2U19) that was stuck at Cressington arrived at South Parkway at 13:42 some 151 minutes late. For that to happen 2U18 had to have vacated the platform it occupied. This begs the question when...

This picture was taken at Southport yesterday during the mayhem that the failure of 777 028 at Hunts Cross caused.

I was on the following Hunts Cross departure from Liverpool Central 15 minutes after the errant 777 028 departed which was formed of 507 017 and 507 020. We terminated at Liverpool South Parkway and were told the train in front had failed. The train crew expected that we would be turned back...

508 104, 508 108, 508 136, and 508 141 all noted today on Hunts Cross and Southport services. 508 103 was also noted on the New Brighton circuit.

Just back from Liverpool. Managed to do the entire Wirral line system by 508. 103 was working to Ellesmere Port 131 was on the Chester line 120 was on the New Brighton line and 139 was doing the West Kirby. Meanwhile two short observations revealed 104, 108 and 114 on Southport to Hunts Cross...

Not sure about Mid Hants but it did go mainline for a while after that. I think it is at the Mid Hants now. I know it worked at Swanage for a while.

S15 30828 was restored to working order at Eastleigh in the late 80's / early 90's so this would be a contender.

Here is one. 91 132 at York on the 14th December 2016. I don't know what service it was working. I've only ever seen them blunt end on a couple of times since they were introduced.
