Oh I can't get to the Map as the link sends me to Reddit, whatever that may be. I used to be able to download your superb map from a pdf here as you have done with the express night buses, which I have downloaded to my iPad.
Different line, ended up being British Oak not too far from where the M1 goes over the Calder.. Have that history, the one I refer to was exclusively loco worked and had Staiths at Horbury Bridge.
Found it, October 2021 in Backtrack ‘The Flockton Waggonway - Richard Lee delves into early industrial railway history in the West Riding of Yorkshire coalfield.’. So many thanks @ge_rik . Nothing like how I described the name, but this is the article. Put onto the index by a guy in G Scale...
Hi
I was recently researching the death of what I believed to be a family member back early last century.
The lad's name of Dunford - my family name - was sadly run over by a horse drawn coal wagon from collieries at Middlestown, near Horbury Bridge Yorks.

Interesting what you say, some of the current thinking in the area appears to favour a Northern route into Cambridge missing Cambridge South Station, that to me appears madness as there are many who need to access the hospital there. Since the Re-introduction of the X5 after Covid it now only...
We certainly lost National Express service from St.Neots possibly a decade or so ago now. Think it went to Southport so may have been the one mentioned by Lloyd’s above, but not at all sure. Had little interest in busses at the time. As an aside I have been thinking of using a NE service to...
