Bus 91R is former OIL 2232 from Don Fraser Coaches of Holmeswood, believed to be originally on a 56 plate. This will replace the recently written off East Lancs Omnidekka YN03 DDA (previously also 523 FN)
It's fitted with seatbelts but manual destination blinds so Beestons are making some Mods...
The build quality of these compaired to the Stadler's is really shocking, I am on a Flirt for about 8/10 of my journeys these days but I still see far more 720s with issues on than the FLIRTS, for example, right now I'm sitting on a train with rattly panels, something banging near the bodysides...
Anyone who had gone on the Aircoach Tourismos has given only negative feedback about them in terms of them being a cheap spec interior so I doubt too many in Ireland will be crying about them going for something else, but who knows if they will actually spec the Irizar's any better. The Tourismo...
According to a few websites in Ireland Aircoach have placed an order for DAF based Irizar i6s.
After buying Plaxton Panthers for 10 years, seems just the single batch of (poorly spec'd) Mercedes Tourismos, they're already looking elsewhere.
In other news, a Panther has also got a 25 year...
523FN is down as being a white Volvo B8R based Plaxton coach on BusListsOnTheWeb with a manufacture date of March 2024, which suggests it's either a Panther or a Leopard.
The yellow one must be for onward sale.
A new Volvo based delivery to Beestons is 523FN, which inherits the plate that the Omnidekka that was written off used.
Unclear at the moment what vehicle this is.

706 - Dublin Airport - Dublin - Maynooth - Athlone - Ballinasloe - Galway
706x - Dublin Airport - Dublin - Athlone - Galway
They have been unable to gain a foothold in the corridor, thanks in part to the merger of Irish CityLink and...
Hi All,
Can someone tell me what is going on today in relation to rail replacement buses? The GA journey planner disagrees with their own literature who disagree with their own staff...
The GA literature says that rail replacement buses are running between Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds and if...
I'm currently in Germany on a trip for a week, so thought I'd share my experiences here. Will slowly add to this over the next few days.
A fair bit of new/modern/unusual things around these cities, so I thought I'd see what I can find. I'm here primarily for work reasons, but in my spare time I...
Beestons open top Scania Omnidekka BUS 91R (formerly YN55NKZ) is to leave the fleet and has been sold to an operator in Ireland
