Eurostar St Pancras - is bedlam normal?

That's giving me flashbacks of a previous trip. Checkin not open while they did a set-swap. At the gates all issued new seats (I went to a staff member as needed forward facing and they sorted it). Held in departures for ages then another set swap back to our original class of train so original...

Eurostar St Pancras - is bedlam normal?

Just had a look at streetview (from 2012) and there are no tensa-barriers at check-in. Was it really that much of a simpler time?

TAP2GO - Works well from Surrey to London , but not so well to say Portsmouth. It was over double.

I changed at Woking - though presumably the system wouldn't have known if I doubled back at Clapham Junction - though I am sure that would still be the same fare.

TAP2GO - Works well from Surrey to London , but not so well to say Portsmouth. It was over double.

I had similar to this. Have a season ticked on my touch card for Eastleigh to Winchester but was going to Wimbledon. Expected Day return Winchester - Wimbledon at about £30 but was charged for Winchester to zones 1-6 travelcard at £39.40. I am sure you can't even use a touch smartcard as a...

    This is a scam, right?

Glad I didn't buy the £3 one! Even more savings.

    This is a scam, right?

(Response from Facebook from further review of the ‘GWR’ ad) That’s that then. It’s fine.

    This is a scam, right?

Obvious scam but not doing anything wrong. (This was the GWR one). Does that make Facebook liable for my losses if I go for the deal? (feedback from Facebook review)

    This is a scam, right?

But everyone in the comments got their cards and free tickets? its so easy! Regretting buying my annual season ticket now, for £3 I could use that to get to work!

Eurostar St Pancras - is bedlam normal?

Thanks! I was aiming to get there about an hour before (so the earlier train had left) but I think maybe there was one inbetween or something. Next time maybe I'll find a cafe I can see the chaos from so know when to pounce! The management of people who needed to be on the earlier train seemed...

Eurostar St Pancras - is bedlam normal?

This was more or less what I did. There were a few stragglers for the train before and check-in wasn't opened for the train after!

Eurostar St Pancras - is bedlam normal?

That’s the bit that unsettled me the most. Like if I leave 50cm either side of me in the queue I’ll still get through just as quickly! I guess they want to not have a queue onto the main concourse but that’s not my fault! I’ve checked and I’m booked for the train an hour later next time. Maybe...

Eurostar St Pancras - is bedlam normal?

That's reassuring. I did notice some areas blocked off for building work so hopefully things will get better!

Eurostar St Pancras - is bedlam normal?

I was lucky enough to go to Paris for a week and have just returned. I travelled out on the 09:31 on 21/01 and got to St Pancras at 08:10. I thought that would give me plenty of time to stop at the café for a coffee and croissant to set me up for my day. It took an hour to get to the waiting...

    SWR Tap2Go @ Victoria

I thought Tap2go was only valid on SWR services and SWR don't serve Victoria?

SWR - journey planner incorrect for 25/03

That luckily matches what I eventually found out yesterday after half an hour on the phone to swr. Though I may get an earlier train to Guildford to make sure! It is madness that the journey planner couldn’t be relied on until the day and still odd that I go to Guildford rather than Woking!
