Wish I'd known about this as I was on 222001 on Saturday looking for a seat in coaches B & C that didn't look like the one from Twitter upthread and it was difficult. The bog standard Voyager I got on the way back felt like a brand new train by comparison.

Thanks for the helpful advice on here, I will probably end up shelling out for the taxi as the least stressful option but it's good to know that even on a Sunday morning there are a few alternatives.

I was thinking of the Eurostar waiting area which doesn't have much in it, although thinking about it you'd be changing onto a TGV so presumably be going up to the main concourse which is fine.

Is there any precedent for a TOC fully giving up on a day with no external factors (weather, emergency services, strike) to blame?

I made it a total of 3 services in each direction successfully made it the whole length of Liverpool - Cleethorpes, as against 14/13 in the published timetable, the majority operated by a single unit.

The 0824 off Cleethorpes is the first to make it all the way to Lime Street in either direction, get in!

The list now on the strike page misses off Sheffield to Leeds via Moorthorpe despite there being a strike timetable for it.

The inter city services were already due to start from/terminate at Luton on the 25th due to engineering work, is that still the case?

Assuming I make it back from France on an Interrail pass and need to get a ticket written out at St Pancras for onward travel the following day, is the ticket office likely to be closed too?
