    Birmingham Moor Street gate line

The gates 'appear' to be in and fully installed since the end of last week, not sure what is stopping them opening them up (the surrounding area (railings, pavement etc) also seems complete, maybe its a software thing, and need all the gates sorted first? Lets see what they do with the old...

    Birmingham Moor Street gate line

The base of the gates were in Situ yesterday, so hopefully complete soon. That being said, I'm not sure if there is a plan to upgrade the existing gates (i.e open the new gates, then shut and upgrade the older gates) as there seems to be some issues with all the gates having optical readers...

    Birmingham Moor Street gate line

Yes, the ticket barriers to the left (on the below diagram) are the existing ones, (though they seem to be replacing the wide exit at the top judging by the diagram). They have inserted the fence (in blue), so awaiting the barriers (along the bottom of the diagrams) to be installed (these will...

    Didn’t tap my card in

So my ticket was not tapped in with Chiltern., the gates are normally open at Banbury when I pass through, and I know it doesn’t always register it ( as I’ve had occasional problems when the barriers are closed and don’t open), but it’s difficult to tell when you have headphones on! I have a...

Gate lines at Marylebone and Moor Street

Same craziness at Moor st this morning, didn’t open up the gates, but commented to one of the guys manning the gates who suggested they will be getting more gates around October time, as you can see plenty of space for them…

    Trains disappearing from the schedule..

It’s a case of read the small print! I now understand the confusion. Whilst the station signs are updated (think most regulars just see Birmingham and check the time!), the train audio and Electronic information screens are still saying Snow hill as the final destination!

    Trains disappearing from the schedule..

Apparently so, kept it in very small print, either way it mirrors what happened before, at much shorter notice,

    Trains disappearing from the schedule..

I don’t have and dates in times for the past but… my train this morning got terminated early (06:04 MYB-BSW), the reverse diagram, the 08:22 BSW-MYB has now disappeared if you search for it from Snow Hill…

Gate lines at Marylebone and Moor Street

Queue this morning after the train ‘unexpectedly’ terminated at Moor st, so unexpectedly that no announcement was made and most passengers only realised when they spotted they were in the bay platform, the other half unawares remained planted in their seats… This is the 06:04 MYB-BSW

    Trains disappearing from the schedule..

So I’m a regular at snow hill on Chiltern. In the evening it appears that trains are regularly terminated at Moor st (instead of snow hill), presumably due to late running or similar. However it seems that the train then ‘disappears’ from the schedule from snow hill (rather than being...

Gate lines at Marylebone and Moor Street

I use Moor st/ snow hill daily, snow hill is not too bad at rush hour, but Moor st is terrible. This is made much worse when the service is unexpectedly terminated at Moor st (instead of snow hill).

Best ticket, 3 days a week? (Edit: with WM zone 1-5 card?)

So a bit of an update, and thanks for the advice so far, currently awaiting my smart card (thought you’d be able to get one at the station. So update on the ticket situation, after my probation period I will be given a fully paid West Midlands (zone 1-5) rail annual pass. For me this...

Best ticket, 3 days a week? (Edit: with WM zone 1-5 card?)

Thanks all, was not at the job centre, but that would have been useful!

Best ticket, 3 days a week? (Edit: with WM zone 1-5 card?)

Thanks, like the thinking, you have to be in Mon+ Thurs, plus one of Tue/ Wed. That option might work well if I am out of the office!

Best ticket, 3 days a week? (Edit: with WM zone 1-5 card?)

See Edit at post #8! So I'vejust got a new job role, having been made redundant back in June, but the new role is going to be Birmingham based (I'm near Banbury), so looking at options for the train, normally I guess a season ticket would be best but the new role is looking at 3 days per week in...
