    Trivia: cathedrals, abbeys and castles which can be seen from trains

    You get a view of Tewksbury Abbey across the fields around Ashchurch when heading towards Birmingham from Cheltenham. Tenuous maybe but as you approach Hereford from the south you can see Hereford Cathedral.

    Trivia - abandoned railways with intact track

    There was a BBC Film circa 1987 called The Little Train to Lynton-2 episodes-and on one of these someone was privately running a short stretch of line in one of the cuttings-perhaps this? Both episodes used to be on YouTube I think.
