You are obviously aware that your card is not always accepted everywhere, so it would be wise not to board a train without a ticket, not for the sake of £2 odd.
I'm on a website called "stoozing dot com" I still hold a electron/visa card so I know all about them. (Used for Ryanair flights...
Unfortunately its not a true visa debit card & there will be occasions where it won't be accepted, which bank or arm is it issued from?

Don't be surprised there can be differences, pre pay credit cards also have some problems.
Just tried booking a dummy run, fares are definitely there at £25 AM @ PM from 5th June until the 30th, London to Brussels, only slight problem would be what time you get in relation to getting connecting transport. I'm in Basingstoke...
