Hunt for woman who 'burst into train driver's cabin to complain about delays'

But it’s not! Sadly this incident isn’t limited to the railway I imagine, it could happen in any public-facing role. It doesn’t make that behaviour acceptable (or even normal) what happened to people having some decency? Not got an issue if the woman wanted to raise a complaint, this wasn’t the...

    Bache-Liverpool

Same as the Saveaway, re time restrictions, so it can be used on the 05:58 ex-Bache, as it’s timed before 06:31.

Hunt for woman who 'burst into train driver's cabin to complain about delays'

Doesn’t have to be on a plane, it’s anyone’s place of work, a coffee shop, a bank, etc. There’s no way in the world this behaviour is acceptable (or normal).

Hunt for woman who 'burst into train driver's cabin to complain about delays'

:rolleyes::rolleyes: Just taking away from your anti-rail staff stance, is there a situation away from the railway where this kind of behaviour would be acceptable then? You can defend this woman all you want, and slag the staff off all your want. The woman’s behaviour wasn’t...

    319s with Northern

18:54 arrival from Stoke does do 19:44 Man Picc - Stoke normally. That’s what’s diagrammed to happen. However, must be a step-up/swap later on. 17:40 ex-Glossop/Hadfield does 23:24 Hazel Grove normally. It’s STP’d this week

    Northern Class 195: Initial Diagrams

    The non-195 diagram is booked a 150+156.

    Northern Class 195: Initial Diagrams

Combination of no driver/guard, hence why it couldn’t run ECS to any point. Wigan Driver drives it - Barrow-Man Oxford Road, then a Liverpool Driver - Oxford Road-Airport-Oxford Road, then a Wigan Driver Oxford Road-Preston then a Barrow Driver. Wigan guard Barrow-Preston, then a Barrow guard...

    Flooding Disruption 31 July/1 August

It’s worth pointing out that the suspension of services (Hope Valley/Buxton) was ordered by the Police, rather than the TOC’s/NR doing it themselves. And due to a number of road closures, Rail replacement buses are unable to operate in some areas.

    319s with Northern

Shortage of 319’s, and also shortage of DMU’s, due to being used to cover 195 unavailability, hence the 2 v 4 formation. They’re not doing it just for fun of it. Would you rather the trains were cancelled completely, rather than have a DMU running on a fully electrified line?

Identifying a train when departure time is not shown

The train in question (I’m assuming) from your post is which you linked to on RTT was 2D66 (19:58 Guildford-London Waterloo), judging from the time you said, it ran non-stop from Epsom - London Waterloo, so was cancelled at Earlsfield. This should have been shown on NRE/Live Departure Boards...

    Northern Class 195: Initial Diagrams

That’s it - no unit available for the 18:16 as well as the flooding. And you may question why it still went ECS to Preston, rather than be used for the 18:16 but it was the best option to cancel the 18:16 and keep the service out of the equation due to all the problems on the Airport line...

SWR blaming passenger who requires assistance for cancellation

Probably not a good idea to publicly broadcast that reason, even when it is correct. Unfortunately, that doesn’t change the reason for the delay, and that is what it the delay attribution will go down to.

When disruption leads to an enhanced service

Previous train 1300 Buxton-Man Picc cancelled (which called at Dove Holes) - inwards stock 1149 Man Picc-Buxton also cancelled, due to crew displacement, with the root cause being earlier overhead wire issues. Therefore 1358 called additionally and lost 2 minutes doing so.

Why are Northern allowed to cancel Sunday Services seemingly at will?

They are. RTT is not gospel and in this case is incorrect. The trains *should* be stopping additionally and they’ve been inputted into Tyrell by the TOC and fed through Darwin feeding CIS/NRE/JourneyCheck etc. This doesn’t feed RTT unfortunately. It seems though it’s hit and miss if the...

Virgin Trains allocating a 5-car Voyager to a Liverpool service

Because that’s all that was available?! No conspiracy theories here....Failed 390, only available spare a 221. So rather than a cancellation, that’s what was provided. Easy.
