Cheapest is my metric I suppose, however I wish to arrive back in Salisbury by about 12 on the Monday.
Best combination I've encountered thus far (inc. YNG railcard):
Salisbury - London Terminals SVR £29.45
London Terminals - Cambridge SVR £22.75
London Terminals - Birmingham Stations SVR...
Hi all,
Wanting some advice on an upcoming multi-stop journey:
Friday: Salisbury - London
Saturday: London - Cambridge
Sunday: Cambridge - Birmingham
Monday: Birmingham - Salisbury
And I have no idea which ticket combination would work best!
You should be able to get it done for free (in my experience with FGW), but they can levy a charge.
Both of those are reservable services. You should be able to make reservations up to around 3 months in advance.
See, if I was able to show a 'planned' itinery, to justify the route taken, I'd see this as sufficient. Either a route is valid, or it is not, and if you have evidence that you were informed it was valid, this seems ample to me.
It's debatably best to hold off until contacted. That'll help ensure that it goes to the right person, and that letters won't end up crossed in the mail.
They will likely contact you to ask for your version of events, in which case it would be a good time to express (where applicable) remorse...
