    “Better than average” Wetherspoons

Long climb to the toilet though.

    “Better than average” Wetherspoons

The Elihu Yale in Wrexham. It's not a great pub but the toilets are on the ground floor and don't need climbing equipment.

    Beer in cans versus bottles

Caveat: I'm an ex-brewer. There's a few companies now that come to your premises to can your beer in volumes as small as 1000l. A few years ago this wasn't a thing and bottling was the only way of doing it. Cans are superior to bottles as they let less UV light and oxygen in so the beer stays...

Trivia: Music Videos That Are Set In The Railway Industry

That's weird, I remember it from my childhood as it being an HST. A quick google proves I'm wrong.

Have you ever come across anyone in a workplace with a similar sense of entitlement as this?

Only place I've ever worked with a proper canteen was Airbus. The month I was contracting there I must have put on a stone with a full english every day. Place I've worked for the last 14 years you're lucky to get a working kettle. The vans that deliver food aren't particularly nice either.

Are you a civil servant based in Gloucestershire perchance?

Creation of class 230 DEMUs from ex-LU D78s by Vivarail

This the Internet, I was under the impression that any post about spelling or grammar must contain a spelling or grammatical error by law.

Agreed, I fail to see the point of using an unnecessary long word when a diminutive one will do.

If there was an Apocalyptic Event, What Would You Do?

It's really not as bad as it looked.

If there was an Apocalyptic Event, What Would You Do?

I'd head to The Winchester for a pint and wait for it to all blow over.

The effect of passenger loadings on train performance

Anyone who's been on the train from Wrexham to Chester around 11am on a Raceday I'd imagine. Not an experience I'd like to repeat ever again.

Trivia: Join points between AC and DC

I'm not at liberty to say where except that it's not in the UK but I'm currently dealing with an expensive scientific instrument involving highly precise magnetic fields being shifted every time a tram goes over the underground lab facility. It was certainly a headscratcher to begin with.

Anyone living in/near Wales - favour!

Been here for 17 years, lived in Offa ward or Llan y Pwll and I've never seen those. There are the blue recycling bags for paper and card that blow around when empty I suppose. Always been the boxes which I think appeared mid 2000s.
