Thanks, checked and ticket loaded onto smart card is Hitchin-London terminals. So must just be gate error that it lets me out at Farringdon.

How would I check? Sorry if it’s obvious to others, but not to me!

Thanks. Hitchin annual ticket to London terminals is £3944, the hitchin to ‘city thameslink’ is definitely new since I renewed at £4264. Seems strange the gate opens at Farringdon with the cheaper ticket though.

hi all so Farringdon is not a London terminal for ticketing purposes - but the Key smartcard i have for my local station (hitchin) to 'london terminals' opens the gates. is this just an error in the gate software and I am risking a fine (for section of journey between st pancras and farringdon)...
