London Overground still has at least 50 'redeployed guards' currently doing station roles at present maybe if the price was right they could assist for 6 months or so on a 313,315,319 or 365 or whatever traction is available.
my speculative assumption
Due to the ongoing GTR circus and timetable fiasco
Class 707 to TFL (London Overground) to replace 455 and cascade 377 throughout the Southern network allowing 377/3 to return to the Coastway replacing the 313.
TFL to take control over GN northern city line...
To build any form of new infrastructure at Gospel Oak will encroach on the Hampstead Heath park and with the powerful Highgate nimbys living in the vicinity you have a better chance of hell freezing over
I think the two most likely schemes for ATO within the next 5 years would be Norhern city line between Drayton Park to Moorgate and as mentioned earlier the ELL core between Surrey Quays and Highbury & Islington.
Now the T&H is electrified can’t they just use a spare 378 to operate the pixie buster using SDO where required and avoiding the short bay at Gospel Oak and running directly through to Willesden Junction or turning at Upper Holloway ?
Pure speculation but I think it could be possible for C2C to retain the 6x387 and compiment it with 15x387/1 from Great Northern allowing the entire 365 fleet to remain with GN when the 700’s arrives.
A quick question out of curiosity will the service to Maidstone East Via London Bridge be routed via the Chatham loop avoiding Bromley south or via the Beckenham spur through Catford Bridge ?
From the porterbrook speculative order
This year's new trains are part of a build of Class 387 Bombardier units which had been ordered by leasing company Porterbrook, and which had been surplus until c2c stepped in to sign a short-term lease for them...
Just a quick question as the dual voltage 387 units have been confirmed to be cascaded to first great western would there be any possibilities of direct services between Paddington and Southampton Central and Bournemouth Via Reading with a change from ac to dc taking place at Basingstoke once...
