Why do you need to arrive at Peterborough at 10.39 for a 15.00 kick off? There's plenty of trains that will get there in time. As for strengthening the train to a double unit, what services would you suggest EMR cancel to faciltate this?

Because a large number of freight locomotives and drivers are being used for engineering trains.

I'd like to nominate platform 6 at Norwich as an easy bit to do, but quite pointless otherwise.

Perhaps my memories are wrong, but I'm sure there were two, possibly three, non stop trains between Waterloo East and Dover Priory on a Sunday in connection with the the hovercraft from Dover to Boulogne and train connections to Paris. I think these left Charing Cross at 0700, 1000 and 1300.
