There are so many variables here. 4L90 usually has to have a loco change due to other workings. If its got 1/4 tank of fuel its not going to make it to the port and then to Manchester. Fresh, full loco... no problem. The loco might have even needed an A exam when it got to ipswich.

I came close to having a spad a couple of times within 6 months of passing out and it taught me a valuable lesson both times. The first time I allowed myself to become distracted by looking at my diagram to see what I was working back, and the second time I had become complacent that "that...
I always do both tones, regardless of what the rulebook says. It also says the driver may use the horn when they deem necessary. I'd deem it necessary to use high/low at whistle boards!
I think you should come back! Putting that stopper out in front of a liner means we're chasing yellows the whole way to Chelmsford. Happens to me regularly. Pair of 90s on the front and we'd be well out of the way of that unit!

I would like to add that pulling 1900-2100 tons up a steep bank with only 2150 at the rail is, in deed, next to useless. I speak from experience.
Sorry I can't be more specific, my employer has a very strict social media policy and I don't want to risk getting into trouble over anything, even if it is something as innocent as this! haha
The 90s are still great locos and perform well. Considering they've been downrated as well, hopefully...
So likely much less whp than 2150, again useless. They can't be that good if the FOC who have ordered them are trying to palm a load off onto other FOCs..
